Ya girl has lived in Southern California her whole life, less than an hour away from LA, and didn’t start to regularly go there until more recently. I’ve really loved exploring the city and finding the amazing hidden gems of LA, there is so much to do and so many great things to see. BUT, Los Angeles is huge and the options of things to do can get quite overwhelming, so I’ve made this list to share my top favorite places in LA that I think are worth visiting.

Broken Shaker: Four words- cutest rooftop bar ever. This place was adorable and so stylish. This particular rooftop bar is on top of the Freehand hotel in downtown LA and I was amazed by not only the views, but the most adorable decor everywhere you looked. The drinks were good and so aesthetically pleasing. We went in the afternoon so it was nice to get some some sun while sippin' on our drinks but I do plan on going at night next time so I can see the surrounding city lights all lit up. GO here, you will not regret it.

Spire 73: This is another rooftop bar I had to mention because it is the tallest open-air bar in the western hemisphere and it is quite ROMANTIC. This is a classy and perfect date night spot- there was just a really relaxed and chic feel here that both James and I were really drawn to. The drinks here were quite strong but really amazing. We enjoyed sitting next to the fire while watching the sun go down.

Melrose Ave for the Wall Murals: One of my besties Betty and I scouted out all the best LA murals a few weeks ago and Melrose had so many amazing options like the pink wall, the “Made in LA” mural, and my favorite, the Crochet Rainbows & Peace Sign wall!! Another cute wall worth mentioning is the red “Love” wall in Culver City. Here is a link we found to help locate these walls.

The Broad Museum: The Broad is one of my favorite museums in Cali, and it is free to visit. I have a thing for contemporary art so all the artwork there really caught my attention. My favorites were the amazing Infinity Mirror Room and The Visitors by Ragnar Kjartansson, which is one of the most interesting things I’ve ever seen. The Visitors is a video production played on nine different screens of nine different musicians singing and playing the same song at the same time in their own artistic style. The other cool thing about this was that the artists were in nine separate rooms of a really old mansion in New York. This piece was super cool and I recommend going and seeing it because I am not sure how long it will be there. It gave me chills!

Manhattan Beach: I cannot say enough good things about this LA beach- it's beautiful and more relaxed compared to the other California beaches. The other plus is that the Manhattan Beach downtown area has some really yummy restaurants and pubs- my favs are The Kettle, The Local Yolk, and Shark's Cove (they have the most delicious beef sliders everrr).

See a live taping of a TV show: This is such a fun and FREE thing to do in LA. James and I went to a live taping of Dancing with the Stars (see me in the picture below) and we were placed right behind the judges so we were spotted many times on the TV screen. You can sign up and find FREE tickets here. This website has tickets available for shows like American Idol, Dr.Phil, Family Feud, The Price Is Right, and so much more.

KBBQ in Koreatown @ Hae Jang Chon Korean BBQ Restaurant: Please do yourself a favor and go treat yourself to some amazinggg Korean BBQ at this location. Sometimes we even go to LA just for the purpose of eating here. This place is so yummy and next level but be sure to arrive with patience because the wait for a table can get pretty long due to the popularity of this restaurant. You cook the yummy food right in front of you on a stone grill rather than a metal one and it makes the meats taste that much better. I swear the food here is sooo amazing and yummy, definitely one of my fave restaurants in LA. This restaurant was the highlight of our friend’s trip to Cali when they came and visited from New York.

Lake Hollywood Park: This is a scenic park with great views of the Hollywood Sign, making it a great place for pictures. The park is really grassy and beautiful but you must get here early on the weekends to get good parking by this park. As for weekdays, parking is not much of an issue. This place is gorgeous and dog friendly, it is a great spot for a little picnic too.

Annnndd there we have it, all my favorite spots in LA. Please let me know if you go to any of these places!!!

Adoringly Yours,

Natalie <3
