These are the questions I got from people on Instagram. All questions were about our wedding specifically so it was kind of fun to be able to share some of the details from our day. :)

1. What greenery & florals did you use?
We used large white roses + miniature white roses. For greenery, we used Gunnii, True Blue Eucalyptus & SilverDollar Eucalyptus. We did all bouquets ourselves and bought everything for very cheap at wholesale price at the Los Angeles Flower District.
2. How much did it cost you to DIY your flowers?
The price for flowers was actually very cheap I think we walked away spending $84 total for 10 dozen large white roses and 10 dozen small white roses, so a whopping 240 flowers for only $84!!!! We also had to buy all supplies (2 shears, floral tape, ribbon, pins, vases, and buckets for water) and that was probably about $65 so in total it only cost us about $150 to do 8 bouquets and we ended up having a ton of extra roses so we just used them as decoration around the venue, so it cost us about $19 for each bouquet! Amazingggg! Something we decided not to DIY on and just spend the money was on our eucalyptus garland that we used as runners/center pieces on all of our tables- a florist at the LA flower district made them for an amazing deal at about $6.50/foot.

3. Your wedding arch! Did y’all make that? Also those flowers you attached to it! Did y’all buy them like that or make them? If so how’d you attach them?
So we rented the wedding arch and the company assembled it (the wood parts) the morning of the wedding and then some of our groomsmen added the plants (eucalyptus & pampas grass & white roses) to the arch itself. To do this, we ordered pre-made eucalyptus garlands from the florist at the flower district and then bought loose pampas grass and flowers from another seller at the flower district. To attach the eucalyptus garlands, the boys used twine and just wrapped it around the arch to really secure it and then just pulled out pieces of greenery to cover the twine. Another way people do it is use green metal twine that bends, but the guys used what we had which was the brown rope-like twine. Then they just stuck in individual roses and pampas grass to the garlands and it was done!

4. What are your top wedding planning tips!
-Stay organized:I used a wedding planning notebook and it felt really good to make lists and check them off as I got things done.
-Take breaks: sometimes wedding planning gets overwhelming, so its okay to just not do any wedding planning for a few days & then get right back into it when you are ready again!
-Have fun with your fiancé, family & friends: make planning fun by including your fam & friends, have them over and just do a little DIY party! I also can't tell you how many times James and I had to make the planning process fun by going out for dinner or coffee to talk about wedding details or having a glass of wine at home while making the seating chart.
5. How many guests did y’all have? Did you want a big or small wedding?
We had about 85 guests and wanted a pretty small wedding- we both don’t have that big of families & we also wanted to do it for the budget but also because we wanted it to feel pretty intimate and be able to really interact with our guests.

6. Were your dogs not part of the wedding?
No sadly our dogs were not a part of the wedding for a few reasons. One, Melvin is a high stress dog and we don’t think it would be fair to bring him around that many people because we don’t see him doing well in crowds. Another reason is that we wouldn’t want to worry about the dogs too much and figure out transportation for them and all that. Although I would have loved to get pictures with them I think it worked out for the better not having them there!
7. How do you handle pre wedding jitters?
Since we had a huge DIY wedding, I think I was so focused on planning and making sure all the details were set that I didn’t get pre wedding jitters until the day of the wedding. I wasn’t really nervous at all days leading up to the wedding. I got jittery while getting ready the morning of the wedding and I just couldn’t wait to see James. My girls were my #1 supporters and made the morning really fun with dancing, music, and mimosas!! I would say, have your amazing tribe around you and make sure music is playing as you get ready because you will be so focused on the music that your mind won’t let you be that nervous- that was big for me. As for pre wedding jitters that may come up days before the wedding, just remind yourself that everyone invited are people you chose to be there who love you so much. Also remember that the day is going to be amazing because you get to marry your best friend!!!! Talk with someone who you know will be so excited for you and just share with them all the wonderful things you are looking forward to. And just BREATHE.

Thanks for reading :)
